He was a true cowboy

No wonder I loved horses so much...and begged for my own,
along with cowboy boots, hat, saddle et. al.
This is a photograph of my grandfather, George Francis Sevey
Even if this is a studio photograph, it is an accurate portrait of who he was.
Be sure to type "George Francis Sevey" in the search box of the PDF that will open in a new window--and press "Enter" 5 times to find his chapter.
Thank you to Laurie Olmstead Joseph (daughter of Phyllis Sevey and Roy Olmstead) for providing so many of the wonderful family photographs that went into the "Coming to America" cookbook that Pamela assembled for the family reunion this summer--including the one used in the banner for this blog, and the ones in this post.

I love this group photo, but cannot begin to identify everyone in it.
I'm fairly sure of the following:
Left, front row standing: Pamela, then Karen--or is that Christine?, Maude...then, is that Grandpa standing behind Eileen?--next is Minerva, Grandma Sevey, Ruth and Darrow. If you can put names to any of the sweet faces here, please email me or let us know in the comments section. Click on the image to view a larger version.

If you have Sevey family photographs that you can share with us, please let me know.
